about REDINEST

The Erasmus+ project REDINEST: “Student-powered and challenge-based impact lab network for the development of transformative competencies and inclusive mindset” has been launched.

The consortium formed by ELTE and four other European universities received a €250,000 grant for the REDINEST project, which focuses on educational and methodological development under the Erasmus+ higher education cooperation partnerships program and will run until the end of 2026.

The REDINEST project is led by Barbara Hegyi, a university lecturer responsible for coordinating innovation and entrepreneurship courses at the ELTE Faculty of Informatics. Alongside the Faculty of Informatics, the Faculty of Humanities at ELTE is also involved. The project consortium includes Université de Rennes, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, University of Belgrade, and University of Évora. All participants are committed to advancing international entrepreneurship education by discovering and implementing new methods. The initiative aims to complement current curricula by developing transformative competencies and an inclusive mindset across disciplines. This will be achieved through educational and methodological innovations implemented in a network of impact labs to be jointly established with the partner universities. The development of students' responsible entrepreneurial skills will help them implement sustainable and inclusive projects related to digital transformation. Meanwhile, the partners will enrich their theoretical and practical innovation toolkits through their business connections and by involving students.

The universities will collaborate to design and establish a disruptive student workshop that enables project-based learning with an inter-university, interdisciplinary approach. The methodological development will be followed by courses based on international student collaboration, and a summer university will also be organized.
